Terms of business between Findlay's Pet Care and Clients


*Bookings are subject to these Terms and Conditions. Updates to these terms may be made from time to time, and will be posted on our website and clearly highlighted.By using our services you agree to these terms of business*​


Our responsibilities

  • Findlay’s Pet Care agrees to provide the services stated in this agreement in a caring, reliable and completely trustworthy manner. In consideration of these services and as an express condition thereof, the client waives and relinquishes any and all claims against Findlay’s Pet Care.
  • Findlay’s Pet Care accepts no responsibility or security of the premises  or loss of any personal items.
  • Findlay’s Pet Care will not let any dog off his/her lead unless expressed consent has been given by the owner. All pets should be kept up to date with vaccinations, flea and worm treatment. Findlay’s Pet Care (Findlay's) will not accept any pets that have not been medically and satisfactorily treated.
  • Findlay’s Pet Care is fully insured for public liability should your pet cause harm or damage to the public.
  • It is expressly understood that Findlay’s Pet Care shall not be held responsible, for damage to the clients property or that of others caused by the clients pet during the period in which they are in our care.


Client authorisation

  • I agree to provide keys / arrange for keys to be available for Findlay’s Pet Care.
  • I authorise Findlay’s Pet Care to obtain any emergency veterinary care that maybe necessary during the time spent with my pet. Every effort will be made to contact owner prior to obtaining emergency care. I accept responsibility for any charges related to this emergency care. I also authorise Findlay’s Pet Care to use an alternative vet should my regular vet be unavailable.
  • I agree to reimburse Findlay’s Pet Care for any additional fees for providing emergency care, as well as any expenses incurred for unexpected visits, transportation, housing, food or supplies.
  • I agree to notify Findlay’s Pet Care of any concerns/complaints regarding my pet, within 24 hours of any appointments.


Payments and Deposits

  • No charge for initial consultation meeting 
  • Full payment due within 14 days of booking - an invoice will be provided for all services - only pay on receipt of invoice.
  • Forms of payment accepted: bank transfer or cash. Cheques are not accepted.
  • A 50% deposit for over one week bookings, will be taken in advance and full payment required within 14 days of receiving invoice. For house sitting, day care or wedding chaperone services a 50% non – refundable deposit is payable in advance.


Cancellations and charges

  • Over one weeks bookings, at least two weeks notice must be given.
  • If a booking is cancelled after the confirmation invoice/email has been issued and sent to the client, and up to 15 days before the service start date, a £15 administration fee will be charged.
  •  If a booking is cancelled within 14 days and up to 72 hours before the service start date, 25% of the total invoice fee will be charged, plus the £15 administration fee.
  • If a booking is cancelled within 72 hours and up to 48 hours before the service start date, 50% of the total invoice fee will be charged, plus the £15 administration fee.
  •  If a booking is cancelled with less than 48 hours of the service start date, 100% of the total invoice fee will be charged, plus the £15 administration fee.
  • Once a booking is confirmed by Findlay's Pet Care, it will not be cancelled by Findlay's Pet Care unless in the case of an absolute emergency. Should this happen, Findlay's Pet Care (Findlay's) make every reasonable effort to help the Client find a replacement pet carer.
  • Should Findlay's not be in a position to fulfil the assignment due to such an emergency, any fees already paid will be refunded in full.

 

Other

  • We will treat your personal information confidentially and will not pass on your details to any third parties other than your Pet Carer.
  • Information given in the initial registration form will be used for all subsequent bookings unless we are notified that there has been a change in your contact details/address/Pet’s condition or requirements.
  • Our service charges are set out on our website and will be set out to you in full at the time of booking. You will be deemed to have accepted our charges and terms, upon confirmation of your booking.


Carers' companion 

  • Findlay's Pet Care may have a family member or friend accompany them whilst providing the scheduled services. No costs will be applied to the Clients account for any assistance the companion provides. All companions will have a valid CRB check. 
    Team members and/or companions are very carefully chosen, in order to uphold the quality level of professional care that Findlay's aims to provide to Clients and their pets.


Third Parties

  • The Client shall advise Findlay's Pet Care of anyone who will have access to your property during any periods of the Clients absence, including but not limited to cleaning services, maintenance personnel, friends, family and neighbours. 
  • Findlay's Pet Care will not be liable for other persons or their actions or omissions that will be in, or have access to your property before, during or after services have been rendered.


Photographs or videos of Pets

  • Any Pet Carer working with Findlay's Pet Care, has the right to take photos or video clips of pets and use them on Findlay's website, social media pages such as Findlay's Pet Care Facebook or printed promotional material. Under no circumstances will personal & identifying information of the pet's owner be displayed or revealed. The pet's name may however be used - please inform us if you do not wish for us to take photographs of your pet.
